Help Us Keep Our Communities Drug -Free
DrugFree Idaho provides various opportunities for members of the community to get involved in drug and alcohol awareness. Events such as Red Ribbon Week, FanFest, and Movies Under the Stars are a great way to help us promote a drug/alcohol free culture.
Join the Drug-Free Idaho Coalition and team up with us to educate our community through special events that you can help plan. Share your ideas and suggestions on what you think are fresh and effective ways to spread the word of substance abuse prevention and how to empower our youth.
Red Ribbon is not a program and, in fact, is designed to be an awareness campaign that increases citizen participation in community and school based prevention programs. It involves many areas of support ranging from pledges, indoor and outdoor activities, workshops and rallies, to town hall meetings and educational events. The aspect of planning and working together is as important as Red Ribbon Week itself because it creates a sense of community and shared values.
DrugFree Idaho partners with the Boise Public Schools Education Foundation to offer free family nights throughout the summer. Includes free games, activities and substance abuse prevention education. Join us all summer long and spend a quality, drug/alcohol free movie night at Julia Davis Park.
A free annual community event hosted by the Boise Hawks and DrugFree Idaho focused on substance abuse prevention, education and safety awareness. This family event is an educational evening during the month of May which includes raffle prizes, fireworks, jump houses, youth musical acts and lots of fun for all ages.
